Monday May 10th Day two of our journey

Welcome to Oregon!
Lots of driftwood on the beach but you're not allowed to remove it. Got this just before it started raining again.

This was just before we got to Crescent City, the last stop before the Oregon border.

Dad's turn for a close-up at same tree. This part of the drive was beautiful.

Taken just outside Trinidad. Ferns were growing all over the tree and the coast is behind it.

There goes dad. The car made it but was awfully close. He had to tuck in the side mirrors.

A close-up. Doesn't seem like the car will fit.

Mom standing where the car should be going through - just wanted to make sure I fit!

Heading into the large Redwood tree that you can drive through

From side of road on 101

Fog through the trees. Also came up on the road. Ghostly!

Going through the Redwoods - view of trees on every side

Heading out of Clearlake onto the 101. It started raining so I took picture from inside the car. Highway 101 to Crescent City and Highway 199 to Oregon border were spectacular! We wanted to stop everywhere and take pictures but it would have taken forever. We entered Oregon about 4:00 p.m. and got to Medford about 5:00. The Redwoods were gorgeous but lots of curvy roads so dad had to drive slower. Staying at Marriott - got a great room with a big comfy bed and 8 pillows! Heading to the coast tomorrow and the drive through Roseburg, which is the road of waterfalls.
